Welcome to this part of the site that looks as the tiny hamlet of Lymebridge in North Devon a spot that seems have to remained trapped in a time when milk was delivered in lidded cans from the local farm; where cows wandered from cowshed to field twice a day; insects hung in the still summer air and the days seemed quieter and longer than now seems possible. For those of us who were lucky to live or stay there during the 50s and 60s when it was 'farthest from the railways' and first saw the glimmer of electric light then this is your history of this idyllic spot, explored from 1800 onwards...
